Yogi Adityanath Warns BJP Workers Against Caste Division

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed BJP workers on Monday, urging them to be vigilant against efforts by ‘negative forces’ aimed at dividing society along caste lines. He emphasized that national heroes should not be reduced to mere caste identities, asserting that these historical figures are a legacy for the entire nation, transcending individual communities.

He pointed to the Noida International Airport, Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, 12-lane expressway, proposed Film City, Medical Device Park and semiconductor investments as examples of rapid infrastructure growth. Yogi said the state provided govt jobs to 9.5 lakh youths and generated employment for 3.25 crore people through the revival of traditional industries. He contrasted the present with the pre-2017 period, alleging that riots, curfews and lawlessness had once crippled business activity and employment opportunities. Seeking to energise the party organisation ahead of the 2027 assembly elections, Yogi asked Shakti Kendra coordinators to strengthen booth-level structures, ensure appointment of panna pramukhs and carry out household-level surveys to motivate eligible voters to exercise their franchise.

Addressing a conference of BJP Shakti Kendra coordinators from western Uttar Pradesh in Meerut in the presence of BJP national president Nitin Nabin , Yogi said party workers had the crucial responsibility to prevent such divisions. They belong to society as a whole,” he said, citing freedom fighter Kotwal Dhan Singh Gurjar, Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Guru Gobind Singh as national icons revered by all Indians. “Uttar Pradesh has transformed and a “New India” has emerged under Prime Minister Narendra Modi . India has emerged as one of the world’s leading economies,” he said. Referring to projects such as Kashi Vishwanath Dham corridor and Ram temple in Ayodhya, Yogi said achievements once considered impossible had become reality. Focusing on western Uttar Pradesh, Yogi said the region had undergone a dramatic transformation. “Uttar Pradesh now manufactures 60% of India’s electronic components and 55% of its mobile phones,” he said.

“Great personalities cannot be confined within the boundaries of caste. India has overcome its identity crisis, and taking pride in its cultural heritage. He also highlighted ongoing development works in Mathura-Vrindavan, Shukteerth and Vidur Kuti, and credited BJP govt with promoting religious and cultural traditions, including Kanwar Yatra.
