Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh know how to make a family picture feel special. And their latest Instagram post, shared on daughter Dua’s birthday, had fans talking for more reasons than one.
The couple had announced their second pregnancy on April 19, sharing a photograph of Dua holding a positive pregnancy test.
The brand describes the outfit as being suited to “statement-making moments”, and this particular shoot certainly gave it the kind of setting where the look could stand out. It’s a look that manages to be delicate and dramatic at the same time. The white set features intricate lace and cutwork, with the top designed with a front cut-out that opens around the waist before extending downwards. She paired it with matching floral lace trousers, keeping the rest of the look remarkably simple. There was no statement jewellery competing for attention. Not even earrings. Deepika wore her hair loose in soft, beachy waves, letting the lace detailing and her baby bump do most of the talking. Ranveer Singh went with an all-white look too, wearing a white shirt with matching trousers. But it was little Dua who inevitably stole the family photograph. The toddler was dressed in a shirt and trousers, with her hair tied into two neat ponytails finished with ribbon bows. Sitting between her parents, she brought a much more playful touch to the otherwise soft, elegant shoot. Together, the three made the pictures feel less like a traditional maternity shoot and more like a family moment that happened to be beautifully photographed. There was no elaborate caption. Instead, Deepika and Ranveer simply added two evil-eye emojis, a familiar symbol often used to ward off negative energy. Now, with their family growing once again, the latest pictures offer a glimpse of the excitement surrounding this new chapter – with Dua very much at the centre of it.
The outfit, identified as the Kianna Set, is listed on the brand’s website at Rs 48,643. The couple shared a series of intimate maternity shoot pictures with Dua, with Deepika showing off her baby bump as the family posed together. “Baby Dua and our hearts are getting bigger! Thank you for your blessings,” they wrote in the caption. The post quickly filled up with wishes from friends, fellow celebrities and fans, including Arjun Rampal, Neena Gupta, Aditya Dhar, Varun Dhawan and Mini Mathur. But, as expected, Deepika’s outfit also caught plenty of attention. For the shoot, Deepika chose a white lace ensemble from Deme by Gabriella.
