At the BoF 500 event, Janhvi indeed made a strong argument that the modern saree is a global fashion item that does not need to lose its Indian origins to fit into the world of haute couture. The saree was matched with a bustier-style blouse featuring thin straps and a sweetheart neckline. It also had minute horizontal pleating for a bit of texture.
