She has said her love for growing her own food took root after she renovated her Vancouver Island property, “I had a lot of space, and I just felt like I wanted to live off the land and grow my own garden and do a lot of canning and pickling,” and carry on a tradition passed down through her family. Pamela Anderson has spent the last few years trading the noise of Hollywood for a quieter life on Canada’s West Coast, and she recently posted a video of her beautiful garden sprawling with fresh vegetables, which is proof of what that transition in life has been like. The actress, who is popularly known for Baywatch and her recent work on The Last Showgirl, took to social media to show off her beautifully arranged vegetable garden at her family property in Ladysmith on Vancouver Island. Here’s a closer look at Anderson’s garden tour and how gardening became such a central part of her post-Hollywood life. Anderson has also spoken about how the garden came to mean so much to her.
Anderson, who has a fan following of 5.1 million on Instagram, walked her fans through rows of flourishing plants before landing on a particularly abundant vegetable patch. Her enthusiasm for gardening came through clearly in a 2025 interview with Elle Decor, where she spoke about the range of flowers and vegetables she grows on the property, including her fondness for Yves Piaget roses and sunflowers, which she described as an especially cheerful plant to grow.
She opened the clip by saying, “Look what’s growing in my garden,” before guiding viewers through a garden filled with squash, strawberries, onions, kale, lavender, and sunflowers. “You couldn’t name a vegetable I don’t have,” she told Elle Decor, explaining that she rotates her crops every season and treats each one as a chance to try something new. It’s the vegetable garden, though, that she seems proudest of.
