Brittany Mahomes had plenty to celebrate this weekend as the Kansas City Current delivered one of their biggest performances of the 2026 NWSL season. The Kansas City Current stormed past Bay FC 5-1 , overcoming an early deficit to score four unanswered goals after halftime. Brittany, who is a co-owner of the Current, shared the team’s celebratory on her Instagram Story, highlighting the Debinha’s sensational hat trick. And for Brittany, the result was more than simply a fan moment. Long before Patrick Mahomes became a co-owner of the club, Brittany was already involved with the Kansas City Current.
The match remained tied 1-1 at halftime before Debinha completely changed the game. Temwa Chawinga then added another goal late in the match to complete the 5-1 rout. The victory moved Kansas City to 13-9-5 with 44 points, keeping the Current firmly in the playoff picture.
Bay FC struck first through Karlie Lema in the fourth minute, but Haley Hopkins equalized in the 24th minute. She scored in the 46th, 53rd and 75th minutes, completing a second-half hat trick and putting Kansas City firmly in control.
