Jason Kelce Playfully Teases Travis Kelce’s End Zone Decision
During a recent game, Jason Kelce humorously ribbed his younger brother, Travis, regarding his indecision before scoring a touchdown. Travis was seen hesitating between diving for the score and simply running through the goal line, which prompted Jason’s playful remarks.
Yet, instead of focusing only on his 101-yard night or the touchdown that helped Kansas City stay unbeaten, the veteran tight end found a way to laugh at himself. Kelce caught nine passes for 101 yards and a touchdown as Kansas City held off Indianapolis 33-30 in overtime. Kelce’s touchdown came after Patrick Mahomes quickly released the ball, while Xavier Worthy created space with an important block near the goal line.
During the latest episode of “New Heights,” Kelce revisited the scoring play and poked fun at his own footwork near the goal line. I thought I was going to have to try and go over top and then I realized I didn’t, and then I just look like a fat old guy trying to get me a zone,” Travis said on the podcast. Travis Kelce had plenty to celebrate after the Kansas City Chiefs escaped the Indianapolis Colts in a thrilling overtime finish. His joke came after another productive outing, adding a lighter moment to a game that again showed why the Chiefs continue to rely heavily on their longtime star. The play worked, but Kelce was far from impressed with how he finished it. “Xavier did a great job of getting a body on a body. Still, the joke did little to reflect the overall quality of his performance. Harrison Butker eventually delivered the winning field goal.
