WWE Money in the Bank 2026 is the TKO-led company’s next major event. It will take place in New Orleans on October 10. Here is a look back at those six WWE superstars: Drew McIntyre outlasted top WWE stars at the 2024 Money in the Bank PLE to win the coveted briefcase. Liv Morgan won the 2022 Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match at the namesake PLE. Charlotte Flair defeated Becky Lynch to slither the SmackDown Women’s title from her at the 2019 Money in the Bank event. Alexa Bliss claimed the 2017 Money in the Bank briefcase at the event. The 2016 Money in the Bank event was historic. He won the ladder match at the namesake PPV in 2010.
As a result, all former Shield members held the WWE title on the same night. At the same time, there has been a select class of WWE superstars who won the MITB briefcase and shocked the world by cashing it in on the same night. Bayley had won the MITB briefcase earlier that night and ran down to save Lynch from an attack by Flair and her ally, Lacey Evans. Roman Reigns entered as the WWE Champion and lost his title to Seth Rollins after a blockbuster match. Right after, Dean Ambrose snuck up from behind, attacked Rollins, and cashed in his MITB briefcase he’d won earlier that night to take the title.
The Money in the Bank ladder match has changed careers and led many stars to win their first World titles. Later that night, he cashed it in during the World title match between Seth Rollins and Damian Priest, making it a triple threat. However, his then rival, CM Punk, interfered and cost him the chance to become champion. On that night, Ronda Rousey survived a grueling title match against Natalya. Taking advantage of a worn-down Rousey, Morgan cashed it in and defeated her to win her first-ever WWE Women’s Championship. Before Liv Morgan, she cashed in on Ronda Rousey the same night, during her title match against Nia Jax. Bliss was successful in her cash-in and became the new RAW Women’s Champion. Kane began the tradition of same-night Money in the Bank cash-ins. Later that night, he first came to Rey Mysterio’s aid against Jack Swagger and chased him to the back. The Big Red Machine returned with his briefcase and cashed in on Mysterio to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
