Corbin recently spoke with Adam Barnard of TheSportster ahead of Sunday Night’s Main Event , reflecting on his WWE return and his ambitions for his latest run.
The 41-year-old star acknowledged that he does not want to remain in the ring beyond the point where he can perform at his best. Speaking about signing his new multi-year deal, Corbin explained that he returned to WWE with several unfinished goals, and among them, becoming a world champion is a goal that he is looking forward to. However, Corbin admitted that he views his current contract differently from previous deals. He wants to accomplish his unfinished goals. Speaking to The Sportster, Corbin added, “They were like, ‘Yeah, we’re going to have you come to SummerSlam. That’s going to be your first match back. And I was like, ‘I’m not going to believe it until it happens,’ and then it did. You see the picture, and it’s like, ‘Oh my god, this is it. This is going to be a great run for me. Signing a good multi-year deal, coming back, I’m going to really accomplish something. I have a lot of unfinished goals. “
