August PlayStation Plus games and Marvel bonus pack release schedule
All three Monthly Games: Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk and Signalis will be available for PlayStation Plus members from August 4 until August 31. The additional MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls PlayStation Plus Pack follows on August 6, offering cosmetic content alongside the month’s game selection. PlayStation Plus subscribers will have three very different experiences waiting for them for the August Monthly Games lineup. From surviving a city overrun by infected creatures to wandering across a peaceful landscape with friends, the latest selection covers a broad mix of genres rather than leaning in one direction. Alongside the games, reportedly, Sony is also preparing a small bonus pack for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, offering cosmetic extras for PlayStation Plus members later in the month. The open-world action game places players in a city where civilisation has fractured after a devastating viral outbreak. Streets are controlled by competing groups while infected creatures become an even greater danger once daylight fades. Movement remains one of the game’s defining features, combining parkour with close-quarters combat and exploration across rooftops. Choices made during the story influence how different parts of the city develop, while online co-operative play allows up to four players to tackle missions together. Friends explore a wide-open environment filled with puzzles, unusual objects and small discoveries, relying on conversation and teamwork to reach new areas. The game also encourages players to simply spend time together between objectives. Quiet moments, playful interactions and experimentation with various gadgets form part of the experience, making it less about rushing toward an ending and more about exploring at a relaxed pace with others. The retro-inspired survival horror title follows Elster, a Replika technician searching for a missing partner in a bleak science-fiction setting. The journey unfolds through isolated locations filled with unsettling creatures, environmental puzzles and limited resources. Drawing inspiration from classic survival horror games, Signalis combines exploration with psychological storytelling, gradually revealing its mysteries through fragmented memories and strange encounters rather than straightforward exposition. PC: Official PlayStation Blog A separate PlayStation Plus reward arrives a couple of days after the Monthly Games become available. The pack includes five PlayStation Network avatars inspired by Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom and Ghost Rider. Marvel, Star-Lord and Peni Parker. Note: Players will need to redeem the pack through the PlayStation Store before accessing the included content. The avatars can be selected from a player’s profile, while the character poses become available in the PS5 version of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls after both the game and the bonus pack have been downloaded.
