Genshin Impact 7.0 banners and what we know about 7.1 release
Genshin Impact developer HoYoVerse has confirmed Vesna Strivozha as a new playable character for the upcoming 7.1 update. Vesna, who appeared as part of the Snezhnaya supporting cast in version 7.0, will make her playable debut in the next update and is expected to arrive after the second phase of the 7.0 banners ends in September 2026. According to HoYoverse’s character description, Vesna is a 5-star Anemo character and the Commander-in-Chief of the Tsaritsa’s Druzhna, according to the developer’s official character reveal. HoYoVerse’s character reveal also describes her as a skilled warrior known as the Snowy Banquet’s Sharp Blade, while her constellation is called Amentum Vernum. According to Siliconera, the first phase of Genshin Impact 7.0 is currently scheduled to run until September 1, 2026. The active characters include the new Fatui character Odette and a rerun of Fatui Harbinger Arlecchino. Vesna is expected to become playable in version 7.1 after the second phase of the 7.0 banners ends. HoYoVerse has confirmed her as a 5-star Anemo character, but further details about her abilities, weapon, banner and exact release date have not yet been announced. Genshin Impact is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and mobile devices, with the 7.1 update expected to arrive later in 2026.

Genshin Impact Snezhnaya characters in version 7.1
HoYoVerse has also introduced Vodyanitsa, a 5-star Hydro character known as the Lingering Siren-Song and the Prima Donna of the Korolevskiy Troupe. Vodyanitsa is associated with the Water Imps of Snezhnaya and is described as a performer whose songs have remained part of the region’s culture despite the disappearance of other singers. HoYoVerse has not confirmed whether the wand shown in the artwork represents her weapon type. Vesna is not the only Snezhnaya character revealed for the upcoming content While initial information refers to her as a swordswoman. Vesna is associated with the Druzhna, the organisation described as the blade wielded by the Tsaritsa. Her character profile presents her as a respected warrior who can also be playful and unpredictable. HoYoVerse’s official description highlights her independent personality and her loyalty to the Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya. She is also known for playing pranks on people around her, including replacing food with lemon slices and leaving doodles on teacups. Vesna’s official artwork shows her with wings and holding a wand. The character reveals add to the Snezhnaya storyline as Genshin Impact continues expanding the region and its cast.
