Apple iCloud+ Subscription Expands in India
Apple has launched its expanded iCloud+ subscription in India, now including Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost. This update consolidates cloud storage, video streaming, and gaming into a single service.
Additionally, Apple is rolling out Apple Select, a curated collection of music available through the Apple Music app for iCloud+ subscribers. However, this feature does not grant access to the full Apple Music subscription service.
The expanded offering starts at Rs 75 a month for 50GB of storage, with higher storage tiers available. Apple One’s existing plans include Individual at Rs 195 a month, with 50GB of iCloud+ storage, and Family at Rs 365 a month, with 200GB, shareable with up to five other family members.
Apple said access would remain uninterrupted and Arcade game progress and saves would be preserved. Subscribers can share the package with up to five family members. As part of the change, Apple is ending standalone Apple TV and Apple Arcade subscriptions sold directly by the company in India. Existing individual subscriptions will be cancelled, with customers continuing to access the services through iCloud+. Apple One, which bundles several Apple services, is also closing to new subscribers in India. Existing subscribers will retain their subscriptions, while new customers seeking Apple’s combined storage and entertainment offering will be directed towards iCloud+. Both include Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Arcade. The full Apple Music service remains a key distinction between Apple One and the expanded iCloud+ bundle.
