Elevator and escalator manufacturer KONE has inaugurated its first Digital Experience Centre (DEC) in India, a facility designed to demonstrate how artificial intelligence, connectivity and data-driven solutions are transforming building management and customer experiences. The new centre, located in Pune, was inaugurated by Jussi Herlin, Executive Vice Chair of KONE Corporation, and Philippe Delorme, President and CEO of KONE, along with Nandan Nilekani, co-founder and chairman of Infosys.
The company said the facility marks a key milestone in its digital transformation strategy and its efforts to bring technology-led innovation closer to customers in India. Focus on AI, connectivity and digital services
The Digital Experience Centre is an immersive environment where customers can interact with technologies shaping the future of People Flow™ and connected buildings, according to KONE. KONE said these solutions demonstrate how digital technologies can create a more connected and responsive customer experience from the design stage through ongoing operations. India a key market for KONE Commenting on the launch, Philippe Delorme said the Digital Experience Centre allows customers to experience first-hand how AI, connectivity and digital technologies are shaping the future of urban mobility and smart buildings. Being the first of its kind in the elevator and escalator industry in the country, the Centre gives our customers an opportunity to experience how digitalisation, connectivity and AI are shaping the future of People Flow,” Delorme said.
The centre combines KONE’s business, engineering and technology expertise to showcase how digitalisation, AI, connectivity and data analytics can improve efficiency, transparency and decision-making throughout a building’s lifecycle. Customers visiting the facility can explore interactive experiences covering building design and configuration, digital interfaces, project visibility, service management and real-time operational insights.
