Russian missiles struck Ukraine’s capital Kyiv on Friday, with explosions heard across the city, Mayor Vitali Klitschko was quoted as saying by Reuters. The attack comes after a Russian drone strike in the Kyiv region early on Friday morning injured five people, including three children, regional governor Tymur Tkachenko said on Telegram. Earlier on Thursday, Russian forces continued a barrage of attacks on Ukrainian cities, including a strike on an industrial park west of Kyiv that killed one person, a local official said. US president Donald Trump said in a social media post on Monday that Russia and Ukraine had mutually agreed to stop attacking each other’s energy facilities.
