Grenier wrapped production in Australia on the romantic comedy You, Always in December 2024, according to Deadline. The show premiered on Prime Video in May 2025. He also announced that he would host CryptoKnights, a reality series following technology entrepreneurs pitching blockchain-based startups to celebrity investors.
His transition to life in Texas has not meant abandoning entertainment altogether.
Adrian Grenier , best known for playing Vincent Chase in Entourage and Nate Cooper in The Devil Wears Prada, has traded the fast-paced world of Hollywood for a quieter life on a 46-acre ranch in Texas. Since moving to Bastrop, outside Austin, in 2020, the actor has embraced sustainable living, environmental conservation and family life with his wife, Jordan Grenier, and their two children. Grenier first spent time in Texas in 2016 after buying a camper. He eventually purchased the 46-acre property that would become Kintsugi Ranch, where he has lived with his family since 2020. Speaking to PEOPLE in September 2023, Grenier explained what appealed to him about the move. He has explored entrepreneurship, co-founded businesses including a microbrewery and a production company, and established a venture capital firm in 2019. In 2022, he also launched a nature-based lifestyle brand. The actor played Nate Cooper, Andy Sachs’ college boyfriend, opposite Anne Hathaway in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada. However, he did not return for its sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2, which premiered in theatres on May 1, 2026. In March 2026, Grenier told PEOPLE that he had spoken to director David Frankel and was disappointed not to be included.
Everyone’s cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, so to speak,” he said. I’m here already,” he said. Grenier told PEOPLE that he wanted the ranch to help him become “a greater steward every day in practice as a lifestyle, not just as an idea. “You sleep better, you’re more grounded, you have a sense of wellbeing,” he said, adding that the lifestyle supports mental wellbeing, resilience and practical skills. He added that his character was controversial enough that “he might need his own spinoff.”
The actor’s shift away from the entertainment industry’s constant demands was not an overnight decision. After years of working in films and television, Grenier explored entrepreneurship and environmental initiatives before finding a lifestyle that allowed him to slow down and focus on what mattered most to him. During his stay, he became increasingly involved in environmental work and was drawn to the region’s relaxed atmosphere. “There’s not a lot of social climbing, not a lot of status people. The actor also spoke about feeling less pressure to keep up appearances than he had experienced in cities. “A lot of times in cities, I’ve always felt a little bit like I have to keep up with the Joneses. And here, it feels there’s a lot of acceptance … When I wake up here, I don’t have anywhere to go. For Grenier, the move represented more than a change of address. It was an opportunity to step away from the relentless pace of celebrity life and build a more grounded routine. At Kintsugi Ranch, Grenier has been putting his environmental beliefs into practice. The property is intended to be a sustainable family retreat, with an emphasis on living closer to nature and becoming more conscious of everyday choices. His interests include renewable energy, farming and beekeeping. He has also spoken about how living closer to nature has affected his outlook on life. He believes it can also encourage people to make wiser decisions about how they live, treat others and care for the environment. The ranch reflects Grenier’s longstanding interest in sustainability, allowing him to incorporate environmental responsibility into his daily life rather than limiting it to advocacy. Grenier’s interests have extended beyond acting for years. Grenier’s life away from Hollywood has also kept him out of one of the most anticipated film reunions.
In a June 2021 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Grenier admitted he had been surprised by the criticism and memes about Nate. The reaction to Nate’s character has long been a talking point among fans.
In an interview with Foundr in February 2024, he reflected on his decision to slow down and take a more deliberate approach to life. He married Jordan Grenier in 2022 after the couple, who were first linked in 2017, spontaneously eloped during a trip to Morocco with friends. Grenier and Jordan have two sons: Seiko Aurelius Grenier, born in June 2023, and Evren Saint-Eros Grenier, born in March 2025. Peterson Podcast in May 2024, he reflected on a previous separation from Jordan and his desire for a lasting partnership and family. In April 2026, Grenier also poked fun at missing out on the sequel in a Starbucks Energy Refreshers commercial.
“I didn’t want to be so fast-paced and always on the go without taking time to really take in my life in the world and see how I can be of service to someone,” he said. “I didn’t want to die alone,” he said. “All those memes that came out were shocking to me,” he said. “You might have seen the headlines – I wasn’t asked to be part of a certain sequel,” he said in the advertisement.
“Like [a] ‘wake up and smell the roses’ type perspective. But this time, I’m actually growing roses. Family has been an important part of Grenier’s decision to build a life away from Hollywood. Speaking to PEOPLE, the actor described how the wedding came together unexpectedly, with their friends helping turn the moment into a celebration. Fatherhood also helped clarify what Grenier wanted from life. During an appearance on The Jordan B. “I wanted a family, I wanted partnership, I wanted to have children. Life on the ranch has given Grenier the opportunity to make family time and a connection with nature central to his everyday routine. Looking back, he acknowledged that the character could be selfish and self-involved, particularly in his failure to support Andy’s career. “But I’m good. Really. It’s all good energy. You use AI every day. Now get your AI Quotient. Take the AIQ test.
Rather than returning to the constant hustle of his earlier career, Grenier has spoken about wanting to use his platform in ways that feel meaningful to him.
