Mumbai: Investigation into the Tiger Shroff firing case has allegedly revealed that the three shooters allegedly had a practice session in a hotel room in Andheri before carrying out the attack on Oct 18.

Police sources said Phool Singh and Rehan Ansari, along with aggregator driver Rithik Kumar alias Rosha (22), stayed in a budget hotel at Chakala from Oct 14 to 18 using fake identities. Ansari and Singh allegedly checked in at 11 am on Oct 14 under the names Ankit and Randeep after arriving on a yellow motorcycle. They allegedly booked the room using a forged Aadhaar card, which police seized along with the booking register on Oct 19. Hotel employee Dheeraj Yadav told police that the teenagers usually left around 1 pm and returned three hours later, claiming they were sightseeing. On Sunday, they allegedly left through the hotel’s rear exit around 4.10 pm, carrying a small bag without informing the staff that they were checking out.

Hotel staff identified them from photographs provided by the police but said they had not seen the third suspect at the hotel. One of the accused allegedly fired two rounds in the room while another fired one round to check whether the weapon was functioning properly. Investigators also found that one of the firearms accidentally went off while the accused were testing it inside the hotel room, with a bullet hitting the bed. Police seized CCTV footage that allegedly showed the accused leaving with a blue bag reportedly containing firearms before heading towards Juhu on a motorcycle.
