BEED: A three-year-old girl died of severe burn injuries after a pot of boiling milk spilled on her while she tried to escape a barking dog in Maharashtra’s Beed district, police said on Saturday. The incident took place on Thursday when Durga Pradeep Budhnar was playing outside her home in Nandur Haveli, a local policeman said.

The boiling milk spilled over the child, leaving her with extensive burn injuries. Her parents rushed her to a private hospital. As her condition worsened, she was shifted to the Beed District Civil Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
