Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the additions at a meeting held in Mumbai, alongside new services under MahaDBT 2.0 and the MAITRI portal, as well as the launch of MahaIndus—a secure artificial intelligence (AI) platform for govt work. The newly developed MahaIndus platform will help officials draft and translate documents, summarise correspondence and analyse information in 22 Indian languages, including Marathi. Govt has also generated over one crore Maha IDs during a soft launch to integrate departmental databases and verify welfare beneficiaries. A wider rollout will follow backend integration across all departments. Officials noted that robust safeguards will prevent official data leaks.
