In a letter dated Oct 26, MGNF stated: “Our federation has been working for past 50 years to address professional and social issues faced by the nursing cadre. The examination concerns the future of 10,000 to 15,000 students. Pune : Maharashtra Government Nurses Federation (MGNF) has written to medical education minister Hasan Mushrif and public health minister Prakash Abitkar, demanding an impartial investigation into allegations of irregularities in govt nurses and midwifery (GNM) centralised admission process examination. The federation has presented specific demands to the govt to ensure a fair examination system and has warned of protests if the govt fails to fulfill them. In light of reports regarding alleged irregularities during the evaluation process of GNM examination answer scripts in Solapur, the federation has expressed serious concern. It is essential to conduct an impartial inquiry into whether the answer scripts were taken outside the college premises, whether marks were altered, and what the role of concerned officials was in this entire process. Given the seriousness of this matter, it is essential to ensure that no questions arise regarding the integrity and credibility of the examination process.”
