show-cause notice to school

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad city district education officer (DEO) has issued a notice to Al-Huda School in Sarkhej for allegedly shifting its premises and conducting classes at another location without obtaining the necessary permission from the education department. The action followed an inspection by a team of education inspectors, which found that classes were being held at a location different from the premises originally approved by the authorities. The school had reportedly changed its operating location without securing the required authorisation. Taking note of the irregularity, the DEO sought an immediate explanation from the school management and directed it to resume operations at its originally approved premises. The education department has reiterated that schools must operate only from locations approved by the competent authorities and cannot independently shift their premises without prior permission.

The school management is expected to comply with the directions and take corrective measures in accordance with the prescribed rules. Officials have warned that failure to comply with the notice or undertake the required corrective action could invite further proceedings, including disciplinary measures against the management.
