Prayagraj: Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday claimed BJP is all set to retain its govt in the state for a third term in a row by winning more than 300 seats in the 2027 state assembly polls. He further asserted that the bid of Samajwadi Party and Congress to divide and rule would fail and BJP would form govt in the state once again in 2027 and at the Centre in 2029.
In the city to attend a series of events, Maurya repeated Union home minister Amit Shah ’s words that Congress and SP would remain out of power in UP and at the Centre for the next 30 years.
He said Congress always talked about regime change and vote ‘chori’, but in fact, Congress itself was involved in vote ‘chori’, not BJP, which has been constantly winning elections and support of the masses. Maurya claimed that the event of the INDIA bloc, led by Congress, at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi was a flop show with no public to support them. He claimed that SP national president Akhilesh Yadav had no ground in the state.
