With the 2026 season already underway and no team deal in sight, Hill faces a race against time. He served as Bayern Munich’s team doctor for more than four decades and worked with the German national team between 1995 and 2018. Tyreek Hill is taking his recovery beyond the United States as he searches for a way back to the NFL. The former Miami Dolphins wide receiver has travelled to Germany for specialist knee treatment, adding another chapter to a comeback story that has taken far longer than expected. His latest move has also raised fresh questions about whether the explosive wideout can return to the level that once made him one of football’s most dangerous offensive weapons. Doctors reportedly advised him to wait until October before attempting an NFL comeback. The German specialist has a long history in professional football. Hill’s latest treatment comes at a difficult point in his career. Rosenhaus suggested in October that the receiver could sign with an NFL team within days. However, no agreement has emerged. The Kansas City Chiefs once appeared to be a natural landing spot. Hill spent the first six seasons of his career in Kansas City, winning Super Bowl LIV and reaching another championship game the following season. Miami has also moved on after four seasons with the receiver. His uncertain availability and financial situation complicated the team’s decision. Hill now faces two major challenges: getting his knee healthy and convincing an NFL team that he can still make a difference. His Germany trip signals that he has not given up on playing again. But the biggest question remains whether his body will allow him to return to the field.
