Owaisi urges UP Muslims to strengthen political identity after El-Sayed’s Michigan win
Taking a swipe at the BJP and SP for stereotyping the community and denying it leadership opportunities, the MP told reporters: “Earlier, BJP used to say Abdul repairs punctures. Samajwadi Party said Abdul will lay out carpets. Abdul has repaired so many punctures that he will not repair any more,” he said. Owaisi said his remarks were meant to counter the derogatory use of the name Abdul and encourage Muslims to assert themselves politically rather than remain confined to supporting roles in parties.
