A four-year-old girl was reportedly sexually abused in a residential complex in Garfa, Kolkata, on Wednesday morning. The alleged perpetrator, a 55-year-old man, fled the scene following the incident. Law enforcement authorities have since detained the suspect for questioning.

The minor was visiting a relative’s flat at the complex when the accused neighbour, allegedly lured the child to the roof and assaulted the minor, according to cops. The child’s family members rushed to the roof on hearing the minor cry out, prompting the accused to flee. The child was taken to a state-run hospital for a comprehensive medical examination.
