Growing role for the UAE Al Zarooni’s appointment comes as the UAE continues to strengthen its position within Asian cricket administration. He has overseen the Emirates Cricket Board during a period that has included the growth of the UAE’s men’s, women’s and junior programmes, as well as the launch of the International League T20 (ILT20), where he serves as chairman. The meeting, held on Saturday, focused on governance matters including elections to the ACC Executive Board, the presidency rotation policy and the formation of various ACC committees.
