Hyderabad: Contract research, development and manufacturing organisation Aragen Life Sciences, formerly known as GVK Biosciences, has filed a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the capital markets regulator, Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi), for its initial public offering ( IPO ).

Incorporated in 2000, Aragen provides contract discovery, pre-clinical research, development and manufacturing services for small molecules and biologics to global life sciences companies. It operates what it describes as the second-largest contract research solutions platform in India by scientific personnel among assessed peers and caters to customers working on new chemical entities and new biological entities across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, animal health, agrochemicals and specialty chemicals. Its biologics CRDMO platform is supported by an integrated US–India delivery model combining cell line development and early-stage research in the United States with cost-efficient development and manufacturing in India.
