The company disclosed that Wilson received $38.65 million in total compensation for fiscal 2026, months after laying off developers who worked on Battlefield 6, a game that sold 7 million copies in its first three days. EA’s latest Form 10-K/A filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) shows that Wilson’s total compensation rose by about $8 million from fiscal 2025, according to a PCGamer report. Wilson’s compensation totalled $38,649,984 for fiscal 2026. most of the increase came from performance-based incentives and stock awards tied to company results While his base salary remained unchanged at $1.3 million. The SEC filing specifically highlights Battlefield 6’s launch as part of EA’s business performance. In 2025, after a security assessment, Wilson was told to fly privately for work and personal travel. This allowed him to use corporate aircraft for personal travel with an annual cap of 75 hours at a cost to the company of $1,245,946. The company also laid off developers who worked on Battlefield 6 and cancelled a new story-focused Battlefield project. The filing also shows that Wilson’s compensation was 305 times the median EA employee’s pay in fiscal 2026, compared with 260:1 a year earlier. EA said the median employee salary increased from $117,302 in fiscal 2025 to $126,612 in fiscal 2026, and noted that it had recalculated the median employee figure for the latest reporting period.

The company said the increase was largely due to higher personal security costs.

The filing cites the company’s business performance, including the “highly successful Battlefield launch,” which met “all milestones for a high-quality launch,” including “positive critical reviews and stable services and gameplay. It also references “the highly successful Battlefield launch” alongside the company’s efforts to sell the business to Saudi Arabia under a section discussing management’s response to “an unpredictable external environment. EA’s filing shows Wilson’s “other compensation” increased from $678,858 in fiscal 2025 to nearly $2.4 million in fiscal 2026.
