Xiaomi India has launched the Poco M8x 5G in India: The wider industry impact

Claimed to be the company’’s first smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, the handset comes with a 7,900mAh battery, a 6.9-inch 120Hz adaptive display and a distinctive design. Xiaomi India has launched the Poco M8x 5G in India.

Poco M8x 5G price and availability

The Poco M8x 5G will be available in two variants, with the 4GB + 128GB variant priced at Rs 20,999 and the 6GB + 128GB variant priced at Rs 22,999. As part of the launch offer, customers can avail of a Rs 2,000 coupon on the first day of sale, bringing the effective prices down to Rs 18,999 and Rs 20,999, respectively. Poco M8x 5G will also be available through No-Cost EMI starting at Rs 3,166 per month, making the device more accessible to consumers. The smartphone will go on sale starting 12:00 noon on August 27, 2026, via Flipkart.

The smartphone comes with a 6.9-inch immersive display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Poco M8x 5G packs a massive 7,900mAh battery. It comes bundled with a 45W charger and has support for 22.5W reverse charging.

Poco M8x 5G has a 50MP AI dual-camera setup with a dedicated flicker sensor. The handset comes with a dedicated portrait mode along with Dual Video that allows users to capture moments from both the front and rear cameras simultaneously. There is an 8MP front camera that is claimed to support selfies and video calls. The display also carries TÜV certifications for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free and Circadian Friendly viewing. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
