Lucknow: A 24-year-old man was beaten to death by his brother, aged 28, following a dispute after the victim assaulted his father in Rae Bareli.

He suffered critical injuries and died on the spot. Police have started an investigation. The incident triggered panic in the village, with local residents gathering at the scene after learning about the killing.

Police said a man was grievously injured after being beaten by his younger son on Friday evening and had to be hospitalised. Angered by the incident, the elder son beat up his brother with sticks while he was guarding the field on Saturday.
