Zen Technologies reveals indigenous anti-drone system for data: The wider industry impact

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Hyderabad: Zen Technologies has developed an indigenous anti-drone system aimed at protecting India’s data centres, semiconductor fabrication plants and other critical infrastructure from emerging unmanned aerial threats.

The system offers drone detection at ranges of up to 5 km through continuous wideband radio-frequency scanning across the 400 MHz to 6 GHz spectrum. It also provides omni-directional jamming up to 3 km, designed to disrupt drone command links and GNSS signals simultaneously.

The company said the system, called Critical Infrastructure Threat Detection & Electronic Layer (CITADEL), has been developed as a customised counter-unmanned aircraft solution for high-value facilities that increasingly support artificial intelligence, cloud computing, govt services and digital commerce. The system provides a dedicated security layer covering detection, identification, tracking and neutralisation of unauthorised drones, according to Zen Technologies. The platform can be configured according to a facility’s threat profile, geography, airspace, physical layout, existing surveillance network and security protocols, allowing operators to integrate it with broader physical security systems, it added. It also includes multi-target and swarm detection capabilities for coordinated drone attack scenarios and is designed for round-the-clock, all-weather operation using indigenous architecture, the company said.
