Kanpur authorities have detained a man after a disturbing video emerged. The footage shows local residents and the family of a teenage girl allegedly attacking him, shaving half of his head, and parading him through Rawatpur. This incident reportedly stemmed from accusations of molestation during a driving lesson. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the event and the motivations behind the community’s actions.
The family, along with around 100 locals, reportedly went to the youth’s residence in Ratanpur after the 17-year-old girl informed them about the alleged incident. Following this, family members and local residents allegedly assaulted the youth, shaved half of his head, and paraded him through the area. The incident was recorded, and the video later went viral on social media. After the video surfaced, police took the youth into custody, got him medically examined, and admitted him to a hospital. Police are investigating both his version of events and the allegations made by the girl and her family.
The youth had been teaching her for about a week, according to the family. The girl’s father, a resident of Rawatpur, had asked his car driver to provide driving lessons to her. The girl informed her family after returning home.
They alleged that during a lesson on Monday, he molested her and attempted to persuade her into a relationship.
