Ahmedabad: A 28-year-old private-sector employee was allegedly duped of Rs 65,000 by a person who promised to arrange a helicopter booking for her Kedarnath pilgrimage, according to a complaint filed with Satellite police on Monday. The complainant, a sales manager with a private bank, told police that she was planning to visit Kedarnath on May 25 and was looking for helicopter service. She contacted the cybercrime helpline 1930 and later approached Satellite police, filing a formal complaint against holder of the mobile number.
Police have registered the complaint and launched an investigation to identify the accused and trace the transferred money. she came across a mobile number and contacted the person for booking While searching online. Investigators are also examining the transaction trail and other digital evidence to determine whether the mobile number was used to target others with similar helicopter-booking offers.
