JD Vance’s mother has hit out at Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
Vice President JD Vance ’s mother, Beverly Vance Aikins, has hit out at Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed over his remarks about Vance, his wife Usha, and their children, saying she would “probably punch” him if she ever met him. Aikins made the remarks during an interview with OutKick host Tomi Lahren, saying El-Sayed’s comments had angered her because he did not know her son or “what type of person he is”, according to the New York Post .
Aikins also defended Usha, calling her “one of the best, most genuine people” she had ever met and saying she loved the second lady “as if she were my own daughter”. She said El-Sayed’s comments about her grandchildren particularly upset her. “I’d probably punch the guy if I ever seen him, and then that would get me in trouble,” Aikins said, adding that she would instead “just go with the flow”. During an April podcast appearance, he referred to Vance’s children as “brown kids” while questioning whether the vice president’s political views were at odds with his children’s biracial background.
El-Sayed has repeatedly criticised Vance and his family.
