BJP state president BY Vijayendra leads the Ballari Chalo padayatra as it enters its fifth day, beginning from Navali Circle in Karatagi taluk, Koppal, on Saturday

Karatagi (Koppal): The BJP ’s Ballari Chalo padayatra, led by state president BY Vijayendra, entered its fifth day on Saturday, drawing widespread support as it resumed from Navali Circle.

He alleged that 30 criminal cases were registered against Yediyurappa during the Congress govt’s tenure as part of a conspiracy to politically target him.

Referring to Congress leader BK Hariprasad’s comments on corruption, Vijayendra said he would respond in the Vidhana Soudha. Supporters of Gokak MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi joined the march carrying placards bearing his photograph and raising slogans. Former minister MP Renukacharya also participated along with hundreds of supporters from Honnali and attracted attention by dancing while holding the hand of MLA Raju Gouda. At Marlanahalli, BJP workers welcomed Vijayendra and other participants by showering them with flowers from an excavator. During the march, Vijayendra hit back at backward classes welfare minister Shivaraj Tangadagi over allegations made against him and former CM BS Yediyurappa , warning the minister to be cautious while making remarks.
