On Sunday, Kanpur experienced intermittent cloud cover accompanied by periods of bright sunshine, resulting in humid and uncomfortable conditions for residents. The maximum temperature recorded a decrease of 1.2°C compared to Saturday, indicating a slight cooling trend amidst the prevailing humidity.

CSA weather expert S N Sunil Pandey said partly cloudy to overcast skies were likely to prevail over the next five days, with light to moderate rainfall expected at several places. Thunderstorms and gusty winds may also accompany the showers in some areas, he added, noting that humidity levels would rise whenever the sun emerged. For Kanpur Nagar and Kanpur Dehat, the IMD has predicted heavily overcast conditions, with moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning likely during Sunday night and Monday morning.
