Dharwad: The draft electoral roll for Dharwad district has been published with 13,53,946 voters as part of the Election Commission of India ’s Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls-2026, additional deputy commissioner Geeta CD said on Wednesday. At a news conference in Dharwad, she said details of 13.5 lakh voters, representing 83.4% of the district’s 16,21,961 electors, have been verified and included in the draft roll released on Aug 24. The district currently has 1,665 polling stations across its seven assembly constituencies, and a proposal has been submitted to the Election Commission to increase the number to 1,707. A special enrolment drive held on Aug 29 and 30 received 1,431 applications: 1,114 Form-6 applications to include new voters, 18 Form-7 applications to delete entries, and 299 Form-8 applications to correct and shift entries. Authorities have also identified 33,987 anomalies and 13,950 unmapped voters, leading to the generation of nearly 47,939 notices. Of these, 32,296 notices have been served, while 15,643 are yet to be delivered. So far, 2,587 field enquiries have been conducted and hearings completed in 2,657 cases.
Applications for inclusion, correction, deletion or transfer of voter details can be filed through the Voters’ Portal or the ECINet mobile application.
Officials urged eligible citizens to verify their names in the draft electoral roll and submit claims or objections before the deadline.
