ARC, a gaming technology firm, has successfully raised Rs 10.5 crore in pre-seed funding. The investment round was led by Chimera VC and MIXI Global Investments, with additional participation from Dhruv Vohra, Director at Meta for the APAC region, acting in a personal capacity.
This funding will expedite the development and commercialization of ARC X1. Key areas of focus will include hardware engineering, product validation, and manufacturing readiness. Additionally, the funds will support further advancements in OWL OS and ARC’s gaming software platform.
The investment will also facilitate team expansion, enhance go-to-market strategies, and foster strategic partnerships across gaming, cloud services, content creation, and technology sectors.
ARC Secures Funding to Accelerate Product Development and Launch
ARC has announced new funding aimed at enhancing its technology and expediting the development of its upcoming gaming platform, the ARC X1. The company’s co-founder, Joseph, emphasized that this investment will bring them closer to market launch. Co-founder Jadhav highlighted that ARC was established on the principle that access should not limit gaming experiences, and this funding will facilitate the widespread availability of the ARC X1 to gamers.
The ARC X1 is built on ARM architecture and utilizes Qualcomm technology, operating on ARC’s proprietary system known as OWL OS. This platform supports native Android gaming, compatibility with PC games through ARC’s software, and cloud gaming capabilities. Notably, ARC has garnered over 50,000 sign-ups for its waitlist, indicating strong interest ahead of its launch. The company has also partnered with Qualcomm to adopt a community-driven development approach, engaging gamers in early testing and feedback initiatives.
