Agra : Public sector banking operations across the Agra division remained disrupted on Friday as employees joined a countrywide strike, which was being led by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) — an umbrella body of seven unions that represent around 90% of bank officers and staff.

All India Bank Officers’ Confederation state senior vice-president Ankit Sehgal said, “If the demands remain unresolved, a three-day nationwide strike will be held from Sept 28 to 30. If there is still no response, an indefinite strike will begin from Oct 26. They raised slogans against the govt and highlighted their demands. On Friday morning, a large number of bank employees gathered at the SBI administrative office in Sanjay Place.
