State to launch 'Anand Gurukul Krida Prabodhini' in 5 districts to boost sports

The Maharashtra government has announced the creation of ‘Anand Gurukul Krida Prabodhini’ sports centres in five districts, including Nashik. This initiative aims to identify and nurture athletic talent among students from rural areas and zilla parishad schools. School Education Minister Dada Bhuse confirmed the development on Wednesday, highlighting the government’s commitment to enhancing sports education in the state.

Bhuse Highlights Educational Initiative in Nashik

During a review of the Nashik zilla parishad’s Dnyanayatri initiative, which has facilitated educational tours for over 4,000 students, Bhuse emphasized the potential for government school students to excel in various fields. He stated, “With proper guidance and opportunities, students from govt schools can excel in sports, languages and technology at the highest level.” This initiative aims to enhance learning beyond traditional textbook education.

ZP CEO Omkar Pawar said all 15,226 Class VII students from ZP, municipal and govt schools will appear for a special competitive examination aimed at promoting scientific thinking and research aptitude.

“The top 15 students will get an opportunity to visit Nasa, while the remaining 90 will visit Isro and Parliament House,” Pawar said. Officials said the initiative aims to expose rural students to world-class institutions and inspire careers in science, technology and research. Meanwhile, Nashik ZP has unveiled an ambitious talent-search programme that could take top rural students to Nasa, Isro and Parliament House.

Minister Commends French Language Achievements in Niphad

In a recent event, the minister acknowledged the efforts of students from Dongargaon ZP School in Niphad, who presented their learning experiences in French. This recognition came after 20 students successfully passed a standardized French language examination, showcasing their proficiency and dedication to language learning.
