Lucknow: Thunderstorm brought relief from hot and humid weather, but also caused waterlogging and power disruptions in several areas, in the city on Wednesday.
Chinhat recorded the highest rainfall at 27mm, followed by Aliganj (15mm), Gomtinagar (13.5mm), Jankipuram (11.5mm) and Raj Bhawan (7.5mm). The weather changed around 1pm as strong winds, thunder and rain swept across the city. Visibility dropped briefly on some roads, while motorists and parents returning from schools with children were caught in the rain.
