Because of adverse weather over Madurai and Coimbatore this evening, including a Chennai-Coimbatore service carrying social justice minister Vanni Arasu, diverted to Madurai, three IndiGo flights were forced to circle. All three aircraft landed safely.
The aircraft was diverted to Madurai airport, landing here at 4.10 pm. The flight comprising 158 passengers, including Vanni Arasu, left for Coimbatore at 5.06 pm after conditions improved. Because of adverse weather over Madurai and Coimbatore this evening, including a Chennai-Coimbatore service carrying social justice minister Vanni Arasu, diverted to Madurai, madurai: Three IndiGo flights were forced to circle. Because of poor weather and circled for more than 30 minutes, the Chennai-Coimbatore flight, which departed at 2.15 pm, was scheduled to land at 3.20pm, but it could not land there. Because of changing weather before landing with 167 passengers, the Mumbai-Madurai flight, which departed at 1.25 pm and was scheduled to land at 3.25 pm, circled for around an hour. A Hyderabad-Madurai flight, which left at 3pm and was due to arrive at 4.40 pm, circled near Usilampatti for around 40 minutes before landing safely with 202 passengers.
