Nishad Party chief and fisheries minister, Sanjay Nishad, hit out at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav
“People are wise; they know everything,” Nishad said. He alleged that Akhilesh wanted the media to “bow before him,” adding that it was not possible in the present era. He said voters needed leaders who stayed directly connected with them rather than those who attempted to mislead. He said the Nishad community faced injustice during Akhilesh’s tenure and demanded answers on reservation for the community.
Nishad also claimed that misinformation was being spread through AI-generated videos, but asserted that “AI will not cast votes in the election but people will. Targeting the former SP govt, Nishad referred to incidents of vandalisation of Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar statues and alleged discontinuation of reservation in promotions. Nishad further alleged riots were frequent earlier, curfews were common and PAC deployments routine, while festivals are now celebrated peacefully.
