Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh govt on Friday launched the official portal for its flagship ‘One District-One Cuisine’ (ODOC) initiative, aiming to give local delicacies from across the state a global platform.

Modelled on the ‘One District-One Product’ scheme, the programme seeks to link UP’s culinary diversity with tourism, entrepreneurship, employment, food processing, branding and market expansion.

A govt spokesperson said the portal will help local food entrepreneurs, vendors, food processing units and exporters access new markets. Highlighting the distinct food traditions of Braj, Awadh, Bundelkhand, Purvanchal, Rohilkhand and western UP, the official said ODOC will use digital tools to take regional flavours to wider audiences. Officials said the initiative is expected to spur local food enterprise and job creation while enriching tourist experiences.

The portal offers district-wise information on signature dishes and culinary traditions and includes sections such as District Cuisine, Stakeholder Directory, Schemes and Policies, Events, Gallery, Videos, Success Stories, Product Videos and Product DSR. Download the TOI App.
