Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh is set to highlight its industrial capabilities, local products, and entrepreneurial prospects on a global stage at the upcoming fourth UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026. This event aims to attract international attention and foster business opportunities within the state.

He sought a detailed action plan from departments involved and reviewed feedback on steps being taken to ensure smooth execution. During a review of preparations at Gautam Buddha University on Sunday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath instructed officials to complete all arrangements within stipulated timelines and ensure there is no room for lapses.

Cultural programming will include 25 performances such as Kathak, folk music, tribal dances and musical evenings. Over 500 EV shuttle buses will be deployed, alongside arrangements for security, sanitation, traffic management and visitor services. The promotional campaign has gained traction, with Meta-platform videos crossing 13 million views.

The trade show will have six partner countries—Japan, Vietnam, Russia, Singapore, Austria and Belarus—and is expected to draw about 600 international buyers from 72 countries and union territories. More than 20 knowledge sessions featuring eminent speakers, ministers and senior officials are also on the agenda. An exhibition area of 36,500 square metres has already been booked.

Yogi said the event would support the state’s ambition of becoming a one trillion-dollar economy, while strengthening “vocal for local” and “Make in India” initiatives. He added that the platform would also offer exposure and entrepreneurship opportunities for youth. Organisers are planning dedicated premium pavilions for partner countries, bilateral business sessions and structured B2B meetings. The exhibition will spotlight sectors including One District One Product (ODOP), MSMEs, electronics, IT, defence and aerospace, renewable energy, automobiles and electric vehicles, textiles, healthcare, logistics, tourism and culture.
