The victim, Vinitha Ratheesh, 37, runs a lottery shop at Nambiakunnu, according to Noolpuzha police. He has been booked under sections 332(b) and 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police said Sivakumar threw chilli powder at Vinitha’s face before allegedly stabbing her multiple times on her neck and head. Kozhikode: A woman lottery vendor was allegedly stabbed multiple times by a man at Nambiakunnu in Wayanad after the lottery tickets, including Onam bumper, he purchased from her failed to win a prize. Locals who rushed to the spot after knowing about the incident shifted her to a hospital in Sultan Bathery. Sivakumar was taken into custody by the police following the incident.
The incident occurred around 1pm on Sunday, when the accused, Sivakumar of Pattavayal in Tamil Nadu, allegedly barged into the shop armed with an iron knife.
