The IMD has forecast heavy rain at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Kerala and Mahe, central Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka may also see thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds. Thunderstorms with lightning are likely at isolated places over Konkan, Goa and Madhya Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh may also see strong surface winds at isolated places. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are also under a heavy rain warning and may see thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may also receive heavy rain, along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds. Kerala and Mahe are likely to see thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds.
