A walkthrough area inside the new Womble Football Center was set to carry his name, while the quarterback meeting room and coordinator’s office in the new South End Zone Building were also named after him. Texas Tech athletics director Kirby Hocutt highlighted how fitting the timing was as the campaign approached its conclusion.
