Mumbai: CM Devendra Fadnavis warned that the Congress and its allies were conspiring to bring in an extreme leftist govt in the country.
They want to end democracy in this country,” he said. On tribal students coming to the Congress office in Mumbai to highlight their demands, Fadnavis said he has already met the delegations and their demands have been accepted. “They even congratulated me and held a celebration in Nashik,” he said.
“They are lying daily so people stop trusting these institutions and entrench the belief in people’s minds that these institutions cannot deliver justice. These demonstrations are part of this conspiracy. They hold the constitution in their hands and do all unconstitutional things.
Commenting on the INDI alliance march in Delhi on Tuesday, Fadnavis said the objective is to defame and denigrate institutions set up under the Constitution.
“As per Article 317 if any misconduct is found we will recommend their sacking. If the committee recommends further action will be taken under Article 317,” he said.
On the demand for sacking the MPSC chairman he said only the president can seek resignation on the directions of the Supreme Court . Fadnavis said the govt is ready to hold an inquiry into the role of the current and past chairman as also of the entire committee. He criticised the Congress and NCP (SP) stating they were using students to do politics and create anarchy. “Their demand is that the chairman who was not in office when the paper leak happened should be sacked for the incident. How appropriate is that?” he asked. We do not want to protect anyone and we have asked the governor to conduct an inquiry.
