The Joe Burrow Foundation was founded in October 2022 by Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and his parents, Jimmy and Robin Burrow, to help families working to overcome food insecurity and childhood mental health issues. The foundation’s 2025 efforts reflected that mission through generous grants, food programs, community initiatives, and mental health support. The foundation awarded more than $1 million in grants and delivered over 1,000 holiday meals to families in Baton Rouge, Southeast Ohio, and Greater Cincinnati, according to its 2025 annual report. The Joe Burrow Foundation’s 2025 charity work went beyond its holiday efforts. It supported a Three O’Clock Project-operated pilot rescue kitchen in Baton Rouge, which produced 31,776 individual meals in 2025.
The foundation focuses on supporting the underprivileged and underserved, with two key areas: food insecurity and youth mental health. Over three years, the organization has continued to expand its community impact by providing critical support to underserved families and organizations across Louisiana and Ohio. The program helps fund local organizations whose projects align with the foundation’s mission. The projects must seek innovative ways to address food insecurity and youth mental health.
The foundation’s 2026 goal is to double meal production while simultaneously developing a permanent commercial kitchen that will house the 225 rescue kitchens located in the heart of Baton Rouge. Around 740 rescue kitchens were launched in Southeast Ohio in partnership with Hocking College, La Soupe, Bellisio Foods, the Wasserstrom Company. Since its rescue kitchens were launched, they have provided 23,717 meals and eliminated 42,000 pounds of food wasted. Through its Burrow Bags initiative, the foundation has delivered more than 1,000 complete meals to families during 2025 Thanksgiving.
The initiative focuses on reducing food waste and providing free, nutritious meals to those in need. Food insecurity is at the heart of the Joe Burrow Foundation.
