Fake Air Force officer held at Parade grounds while posing for photos
The accused, identified as Nitin, was spotted by Army security personnel stationed at Parade Grounds, according to police. So far, there are no victims from our state and information is being gathered if he had cheated any girl from other states,’’ Begumpet police inspector P Saidulu told TOI. Police said the accused’s social media accounts are being examined, and efforts are underway to ascertain whether he had cheated or attempted to deceive women in other states using the fabricated identity.
Dressed in an Air Force uniform, he initially appeared to be a serving officer. However, security personnel grew suspicious when they began interacting with him and alerted senior officials. The Army authorities then informed Begumpet police, who reached the spot and took him into custody. “Going by the uniform, he impersonated an Air Marshal and a Wing Commander. Any officer of that rank will not move alone and come to the ground like any other common man. His intention was to cheat women by posting the photographs on social media. He has been doing it for the last two months.
Hyderabad : A Bihar native was taken into custody by Begumpet police on Thursday after he was allegedly found posing in an Air Force uniform during a photoshoot at Parade Grounds, reportedly to create a false identity on social media and lure women.
