Dismissing the results as “manufactured”, Mamata TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh said, “Had the elections been fair,” he said, “the Congress candidate backed by Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram and her party’s candidate in Rejinagar could have won. Ritabrata camp MLA Akhruzzaman, however, called the comparison between the two TMC factions “baseless”. The real test will be the KMC elections,” he said.
